Programming ActiveX Controls

Rob Rutherford

FrontPage 2002, Win XP Home. Having added an ActiveX control to a page
what's the easiest way of:
1) browsing its properties, methods and events ?
2) programming its events?

I've got Microsoft Script Editor and Visual InterDev but haven't used them. I
also read on the internet about Microsoft's ActiveX Control Pad which sounded
useful but the info was dated 1997 so it's probably old technology.

Thanks for any advice,
Rob Rutherford

That Control Pad is actually still quite cool. I have to admit that I've just tinkered
around with it but it'll show you (with generated code) how to fill combos, treeviews etc.
I can't speak for interdev 'cause, like I said, I just tinker around with web controls.
It's probably somewhere in the middle between script editor and interdev as far as
functionality goes.
