Proj Mgr can't see enterprise options

Hi all,

I've got a project manager that's just installed Proj Pro 2003. He
can't see Enterprise Options under Tools. Nor can he build a team from
enterprise resources. Nor does he have the collaborate menu item.
I've checked under Options... Collaborate tab and he's pointed at the
correct project server and I've clicked the test button and it works.
I've also clicked the default button. But I just can't make his
ProjPro see the server. What am I missing? Thanks.

Oh, yeah.. one other thing. I have tried to research this but I'm
apparently not looking in the right spot. Everything I've found says
point to Tools --> Enterprise Options. However, he doesn't have
Enterprise Options under his tools menu. Once I get that figured, the
rest (I'm guessing) should be easy. Thanks.

From your description, it sounds like the project manager has not created a
login account in Microsoft Project 2003 and then logged into Project Server
To solve this problem, the PM should do the following:

1. Lauch Microsoft Project Professional
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Microsoft Office Project Server
Accounts
3. Click the Add button
4. Enter an Account Name and the URL for your Project Server instance
5. Click the Test button to verify the URL
6. Select the "Set as default account" option and then click OK
7. Select the "Manually control connection state" option and then click OK
8. Exit and then relaunch Microsoft Project Professional
9. Make sure the new login account is selected and then click the Connect
button

Hope this helps.

Denise -

I assume that you have installed Project Server 2003 as well as Project
Professional 2003, and that in Project Web Access, you have given the
Project Manager in question permissions to log on to the server?
Please verify that. I think some important parts may have been missed.
