Project 2003 BCWP Calculation

BCWP does not calculate when the task is ahead of schedule. A resource is
assigned. The resource has a dollar value. The baseline has been set. The
percent complete is greater than 0 and less than 100. This is happening
throughout the project schedule. Negative variances are fine.

Add the Actual Start date column and put a date in it. BCWP will only show
in the baseline period unless an actual start date is present.

Also, make sure Project/Project Information... Status date is set to a
reasonable value.

Let me know how this works out

I also found where it doesn't always set BCWS and BCWP to zero when the task
is completed. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't. If I set the
percent complete to zero then back again to 100% it does. Very strange.

I ocassionally notice the behavior where I have to set to 0% then back again.
To be clear on my earlier response, there is a column named "Actual Start"
not just "Start" It is the "Actual Start" that requires a date if you want
to start your EV ahead of baseline.

I was looking at actual start. It's the same date as the (scheduled) start.
Still not working.

I think I am missing something. If you wish, send the file to
(e-mail address removed) and I'll look it over off line. You may want to include
telephone info. I am in Los Angeles.
