Project 2007 SQL Tables

ST

Hi,

Is there a doc or URL that descibes the different SQL tables Project 2007
uses to store it's data. Specifically, I'm trying to find out which table(s)
contain the resource cost and resource calendar information.

Thanks in advance

Hi
Microsoft only publishes the schema for the reporting db as they reserve the
right to make changes for any hotfix or SP. The Reporting db schema is in
the Project 2007 SDK.

Also, the cost rate table information is stored in binary in Project
Server 2007. So even you find it, you'll have a tough time deciphering
it. We ended up writing a scheduled job to make PSI calls and extract
rate table information to our own sql table. We then use our table for
reporting and exports.

Ouch! Would you know if it is the same in approach that would be require in
2003?
for the rate tables?

Also, do you recall which PS calls were used?

I wouldn't look at developing PDS against 2003 as it has completely gone for
2007. Simplest solution is to open the Resource Pool in Project Professional
and read the rates from there using automation.

Double Ouch! Well, so much for a "completely" open solution ; )

Thanks for the info, Rod.
