Project 98 and Office 2003

I have recently upgraded my MS Office suite to 2003 but I
only use Project occasionally and I have Project 98,
which in fact was an earlier version that I upgraded to
Project 98. I now find that i can still use Project 98
but I do not seem to be able to open old Project files.
Is this something to do with the Office 2003 suite or has
something else happened?
Thanks for your help.

Nothing to do with Office 2003. Please see FAQ Item: 27. Project 4 to
Project 2000
