Project cannot resolve overallocation

[confused]

Hi,

I am getting the error message when I level:
'Project cannot resolve overallocation' for resource x on date.

However, when I look at the resource usage view, resource X is not red and
when I look at the date he is not over resourced on that date

Anyone know why I am getting the overallocaton message when the resource is
not overallocated?

Hi confused,

Well, I must say, I am confused as well. The cannot resolve overallocation
message frequently occurs if you have either assigned the resource above
their maximum units to a single assignment, or if you are attempting to
level and the "Level only within available slack" is enabled. However, as
far as I know, the resource's name always appears in red in the resource
usage view, unless someone has modified the Text Style for Overallocated
resources to set the color back to black.

As far as the resource not appearing to be overallocated when looking at the
