Project Server or Project Professional.

We are trying to decide between Project Server and Project Professional. Are
primary need is collaboration and status reporting within the department. We
will be sharing resources in and outside of the department. Any suggestions
are appreciated.

I suggest that you read the information at

You will find that Project server and Project Pro work together. There is
little sense in getting one without the other.
