Hello All-
This is probably a stupid, question, and I apologize… (crossposted to the
SharePoint newsgroup in case someone knows over there
Is there a way to export from MS Project into SharePoint without installing
Project Server/Project Web Access? I don’t need to keep track of hundreds of
projects for an entire company, I would just like to be able to export task
lists, Gantt charts, and track progress on a SharePoint workspace. Both
programs support Gantt charts, calendars, lists, etc… but the “collaborateâ€
button in Project seems to require Project Server, and I don't see any option
for saving to SharePoint lists in the Project UI.
If you install the SharePoint Server Admin templates, one of the templates
is for a Project Tracking Workspace. This template (under the Deliverables
list:
http://demo.sharepointservers.com/projecttrackingworkspace/Lists/Deliverables/AllItems.aspx)
even says "Use the Deliverables list to communicate key deliverables and
dates. These can be linked with Project Professional to manage dependencies
across projects."
But... how?
Any tips/tricks/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
