Project/Task Tracking

Hi,

I was wondering if only time based tracking of project is possible in MS
Project? i mean users have to fill in the time worked on specific task..
anyway to have customized units for task and projects.

like task A consist of 10 units. and user can add units instead of time in
the time sheet. whether it takes 1 day or 1 month to complete the units it
not of any concern?

Thanks

Alvi

Nope. A "schedule" is work to be performed at a specific time. Tracking a
project's progress is a matter of tracking when you're going to finish the
work and how much it's going to cost you to do it. You can include
recording % Physical Complete so you can track the number of the required
units that have been done so far but time and money will still be the most
signifigant part of the equation.
