Project Type

I see a Project Type field that defaults to the value "Project". Is
this field related to the ability to track Programs and exactly how
do you use Project Server to track Programs? Is this something that
is built in as a feature or do you have to build it in yourself via
custom fields, filters, etc.?

Hi Andy,

This is built in and will recognize types such as Project (type 0) which you
have found, Lightweight Project (type 4) which is for activity plans and
proposals (the new server side projects) and then for programs you might use
master project and sub projects (type 6 and 5). These get set automatically
if you insert one project into another. As you mention you could also
handle programs by association through custom fields.
