Project Workspace Permissions

Is is possible to set up the Team Members(Microsoft Office Project Server)
permissions so that they do not have delete permissions for items. I'd like
to set this as a default on all new and existing workspaces, but when I make
any changes they get overridden next time a WSS permissions synch takes place.

Hi Ben,

I don't have an answer, but another question for you. When you say you make
the change but it gets overwritten, are you making the change on the template
for the WSS or just on the WSS site?

Just on the WSS site, not the template.

Hi Ben,

I have been playing with this somewhat as I have had an interest to do the
same thing. I made my changes at the template level, but that only impacted
existing items setup in the template. And in turn only newly created sites.

The only time that I saw things change from what I set them to on an
individual basis was if there was a parent inherit permissions issue.

So I don't really have any answers for you, but you do figure this out
further I would be very interested in knowing what you did.

Ben:

You would have to write your own synchup routine and disable the built-in
sync frrom Project Server.
