Project98 Transfer to new computer

I just upgraded my computer to "bigger and faster" and
with an XP OS. When I try to load my Project 98 upgrade
to the new computer it complains that it can't find any
qualifying products. I have the old computer on the
network to transfer programs and files but I am unable to
point the setup to the right file. What file is setup
looking for? Obviously not WINPROJ98.exe...

Looks like the Project CD you have is a "upgrade" CD, e.g. it was
purchased at a lower cost to "upgrade" from a previous version of
Project. Go back into your CD and floppy disk collection and find that
previous version. *Sometimes* you can simply use the "browse" button at
the appropriate time to point to the previous version's install disk in
the CD or floppy disk try. Depends on how they programmed the install
procedure (and there is no standard for this). I don't know how the
Project 98 upgrade install handled this).
