I'm trying to solve your very same question and this is
what I've learned. First, you need a dual graphic card.
Look at the Maxtor 650 or something similar. With the
dual card, your monitor is plugged into one port and the
projector into the other. Next, on PowerPoint, go to Help
and search 'use two monitors.' You'll end up using the
Presenter View feature on PP where the operator looks at
all the slides and presenter notes, and the audience only
sees the highlighted slide. That's what I know thus far.
Problems - There is a huge selection of video cards at all
price ranges, can't figure that out but I'm sure it's
important. And, Maxtor just emailed me that everything
above is correct, but "you won't be able to run live
motion video." What does that actually mean? Hope this
much helps. David Criss
