Prompt in form

I have created a form and in which the user just tabs to each text form
field. Most are self explanitory, but some need additional instruction that
I don't want to print out once the form is complete. How do I get a prompt
on some of the text form fields with instructions for the users? I've tried
the FILLIN field, but this just prompts before the user even is able to see
the form, which is inconvenient. Thanks!
