Prompted to replace Normal.dot every time

Every time I close normal.dot (Word 2002 in Windows XP) I
am told that it already exists, and asks if I want to
replace the existing file.

I have tried it under another user on the PC, and the
same thing happens.

I have also gone under options and made sure that
the "Prompt to save Normal template" is unchecked.

I have deleted it, and had it automatically readded.
Still no good.

Any thoughts?

You can copy the Normal.dot to user's local drive, eg:
C:\UserTemplates, then change the User Template file
location in word to point to that location you've just
created.
