Protect a presentation

I am using PowerPoint 2000. How do I save a powerpoint file in such a way that it prompts for 'read-only' when it is next used? Also, can you prompt for a password for editing

Is this possible? Thanks in advance

But that article addresses PowerPoint 2002 and Jo is using PowerPoint 2000.
Password protection wasn't introduced until PowerPoint 2002.
