Protect Part of the Website

Hi

How would I protect part of the website with FP 2003
I dont have access to the host server. And 2nd part of
the question is I am guessing my DNS has to be redirected
to test my password protected web and pages?

It says FrontPage 2000 but it applies to all versions.

You don't have to do anything with DNS.

This sounds like it only protects part of your web for FP
I want the live side protected especially where I have
pdf documents in a directory ..
how would I do this following this informatin?

It protects part of your web from everyone when properly applied.
To protect your .pdf documents, place them in the same folder or subweb that is password protected.
