protect picture with password

Hello,
Can anybody tell me whether is possible to protect a picture (or even the
whole folder with certain pictures) like JPEG format with a password as it is
possible to protect word documents with password... I am using Microsof
office picture manager or windows picture and fax viewer.

Not in Office, you may use a "Zip file/folder with passwords" though.
Please refer to Operating system documentation to see if your system
supports this, or acquire a 3rd party Zip program.
