Protect Styles?

Is there a way in Word 2002 to protect a document from someone editing the
styles? I want to know that when I get a document back, whoever else edited
the document can't change the styles.

Thanks.

Hi Doreen

No, Protect Styles only came in with 2003 (and very useful it is too).

What you could do is to bring your styles back into the document from your
template (or, if you have none, an original copy of the document),
overwriting any style changes. You can do this either using the Organizer or
using Tools > Templates and Addin with Update document styles checked (but
uncheck this setting again when you've done). If you have numbered styles
you'll need to tread carefully - one or other of the methods may fail (if
using Organizer , you need to copy the styles 3 times).

No, not in Word 2002. You can do that if both you and the other person are
using Word 2003.
