I have created a service contract and am wanting to lock 4 pages of the
document, with certain exceptions. On pages 1-2 the customer has multiple
text boxes to fill in, such as name address, etc. The problem is I can not
figure out how to lock all of the text within the contract while leaving the
text boxes available for editing.

I have tried adding sections and setting those sections as read only (which
affects the entire document) and also fill in forms, however this does not
work since I am not able to create a "section" that excludes the text boxes.

Any adice would be greatly appreciated!!

Forms is the way to go with this. Help is available and pretty good for
this. Click the help icon (small question mark on right side of ribbon.)
Type in forms and then select the first item at the top of the search list.
