If the file resides in a network file system, all you have to do is set the
read-only property. If you can't do this, you will have to ask the systems
admin to perform this for you.
Do one of the following:
For Windows XP, click the Start button on the Windows taskbar, and then
click My Computer.
For Windows 2000, double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
Double-click the drive that contains the file you want.
Double-click the folder that contains the file you want.
You might have to open several folders to find the file you're looking for.
Click the file you want.
On the File menu, click Properties.
On the General tab, select the Read-only check box.
Too simple hmm?
If you are passing this file via email, there is no possible way to protect
the source file. It would be nice if there was a compiled version of your
file, sort of how MsAccess can create a .MDE file that can only be run and
not modified. RIght?
Hope this helps,
AL
