Publisher 2003 font problem

I used the Rockwell font for many files created with Publisher 2000. After I
upgraded to Publisher 2003, Rockwell is not even listed. The font IS
installed because I use it in other programs. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling Rockwell on my hard drive, but this did not solve my problem. I
do not use a font manager, but I have several font listers. One of these
programs shows Rockwell and other fonts with an OpenType (not TrueType)
symbol. Publisher 2003 does not recognize any of the fonts that are
considered OpenType. How can I fix this?

According to MS, Rockwell is installed with Publisher 2003 (as a stand-alone
product or in an Office suite). I have MANY Open Face types and they work
just fine. Do you have all applicable patches for Publisher installed? Have
you double-checked to make sure you OT fonts are in the right folder?

When you upgraded to 2003, did you change anything else? Any chance you
upgraded your printer driver?

I had Office XP Standard Academic (2002) and purchased Publisher 2003
separately. The only patches offered are for Office 2003. There are none
specifically for Publisher. I am afraid to install "fixes" for Office 2003
when I am using 2002. The fonts that Publisher is not recognizing are all in
my Windows\Font folder. I upgraded my printer driver, but I don't remember
if that was before or after installing Publisher 2003.

Download the patches. Your computer will know what it needs and what it
doesn't. Start with that and then get back to us. :)

To elaborate on JoAnn's response, Publisher 2003 is a part of Office 2003,
so the Office 2003 patch will automatically download and install the
appropriate updates for the programs you have
The update won't touch Office XP :)
