Publisher 2007 won't save whole document

I am importing a long word document into publisher 2007 in order to make it
into a booklet. I import about 200 pages. I can reformat it fine, and then
when I save it, only 9 pages save properly. A few pictures save on some other
pages scattered throughout. I have done it several times. Only the first 9
pages ever save correctly. HELP!

Try this, page setup, booklet, create a text box on the page where you want the
text to begin, select the text box, right-click, click change text, click text
file, browse to the Word document. Publisher will create pages and text boxes.
Two-hundred pages is a lot. Could be your computer is balking.
The pictures maybe problematic. When I try this I get duplicate images on the
same page. You will simply have to edit the pictures.

Why not leave it as a Word document?

Dear Mary
That was a better way to import the document, but again, when I saved it and
reopened it, it only saved the first 9 pages. By the way - if I leave it as a
word document, is there any good way to turn it into a half A4 size booklet
(landscape) from a document that is at the moment in order from start to
finish? Thanks

Roberto, Have you thought about doing an Office Diagnostics found in the Help
menu? I have experimented this morning with a large Publisher booklet taking all
the text and pictures from Word. I can save the document and re-open it without
problems. Do all 200 pages import from Word to Publisher or just nine pages?

You can setup a book in Word. Is your Word version 2007 too? You might ask how
to setup a book in a Word newsgroup.

Are you using a trial version?

Hi,
I am having this same problem... I'm trying to import a Word 2003 document
that is about 50 pages long and has some jpg images in it. These seem to
come in alright, but only the first 9 pages come in and the text keeps
getting changed to extremely small type. I am importing it to Publisher, and
bought Publisher so that I can convert it to a pdf file...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
