What do you know? I just asked the same question because I didn't see this thread, somehow.

But the problem is when we create a file in the NEWEST version, it appears it can only be shared with computers also running the newest version. Given that the release is, what, a month old, we all have apparently a long wait until we can share files with many other people . .

Am now told that a newer version's file can be saved as an older version file, and THEN read by the older version

I'll try it and we shall see . .

Publisher 2003 files can be opened in Publisher 2002 without having to do a
"Save as..." an older version.
