Publisher for Research Book

I am working on a book that will be several hundred pages
long. I currently have a few pages in MS Word, about 100
pages in MS Project (they are photos) and probably 250
pages of Excel spreadsheets with data. This is a
genealogy research book. I'd like to combine all the
data into one program like Publisher to print. Can I
import and do what I wish to do so I can have a printer
publish direct? I don't want to redo the information,
just want to import everything from the other MS
programs.

Recommendations if Publisher isn't the right tool?
Thanks

You could, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

The old MS Binder was quite good at this, but didn't do Project and is not
supported any more.

If you only want to have one item per page, you can create PDF files of all
the elements and combine them together in Adobe Acrobat.

Otherwise, you can use Publisher, but it isn't the easiest thing to do in
Publisher by any means.

Ed,
I actually have an older version (Project 2000) and tried
this out after posting the initial message. I can move
the individual parts of Project but have not figured out
how to moved the Excel pages easily. I've got the excel
files set up to print nicely and want to keep that
format. I can't move it successfully at all and had
hoped the newer version would be better.

I had thought maybe Adobe might be a better fit as I
should be able to load all the various MS files in and
simply rearange but I don't own Adobe currently and had
hoped to avoid the purchase since I'm doing all the work
for a non-profit group so they have something to sell to
raise funds.

I'm hoping for more ideas from others!!!!! Thank you for
your help Ed.
