publisher gathering information

Everytime I click on ms publisher 2000 to run. Publisher
runs a windows installer dialog box telling me that it is
gathering information. Then publisher pops up fine. When I
close out and go back in the same thing happens all over
again. Any suggestions would be helpful. I did reinstall
the product and that didn't help. TY
