Publisher items disappear

I have copied and pasted parts of two jpegs as elements of a larger map.
This process was working until I noticed one of the elements had disappeared.
I have replaced it several times with the same outcome. I have tried
printing the project, the element does not show up. Any suggestions?

Sounds as though the missing element maybe corrupt, especially if it won't
print. I would have guessed your video driver needed updating, but if the object
doesn't print. Can you see a picture place holder?

Can you insert the picture into a new publication without issue?
