Publisher Lock Ups

Hi all,

A customer of mine recently started having problems with
Publisher 2002 (Oppice XP). If she opens an existing
document, Publisher will lock up almost immediatley. I
had her send me a document and if I open it using the same
version of Publisher, the application freezes and a
dialogue box pops up indicating that Publisher needs to re-
start.

If the customer creates a brand new document, Publisher
will run OK for a little while, but generally it locks up
in the same way within 30 minutes.

I cannot find a KB article that is any help with this.
Any ideas?

Have your customer try it in safe mode, if there is no lock up then it is a driver
issue, probably a graphics driver, but it could be the printer as well. Have her
visit the manufacturer's web site and look around for a newer driver.

I've updated Office with SP3 and tried running Publisher
in Safe mode. New documents seem to behave, but any of
the exisitng documents that caused lock-ups in the past
still crash Publisher.

Any other ideas?

Were these documents created with an older version of Publisher?
