Publisher to illustrator or quarkxpress

It's not working, is there anything special we need to try? And we really
want to work with quarkxpress not illustrator.

I am trying to convert a publisher file into quarkxpress and copying/pasting
won't work...is there anything else you recommend?

You don't.

All you can do is copy and paste elements. If you don't have Publisher,
then you can't do this either.

You will have to recreate from scratch.

Or farm the job out to someone who has/knows Publisher.

Make a pdf and import that. You cannot "convert" one program to another.
