Publisher won't open a file (encounters problem & closes)

Publisher (vs. 6.0.1.436) encounters a problem and closes when I try to open
a file. I can't find an error number -only an offset number 00104279. I can
view more technical info about the error report but I don't know what I'm
looking at. Any ideas on how I can save the file?
