I am stumped, I have created a 4 page website that I want to publish to the
web but I cannot seem to do it. I already have a website that I created
using FP2002 being hosted by oneandone.co.uk, I want to replace that one
with the one that I have created in publisher how do I do it (in simple
terms please).

Hi David and thanks

here is what I have, a four page website called brief ok. when I go to
publish website a box opens with publish to the web in top left corner, the
title of the site appears in the save as box and it is saved as a web page
filtered file, alright so far. I then go to my network places and type in
the url of my existing website, a folder opens with nothing in it and the
title of the publisher file in the save as box, I hit save and it says
publishing html files but then a box comes up with check url or connection
cannot publish. What am I doing wrong? My url is correct and I have a sound
connection.

from your description it doesn't sound like you ever created a web folder
(network place) first.

go to Start, My Network Places, and click add a new network place, then work
thru the prompts. You will then have a web folder for your web site.

Then in Publisher when you Publish you click the network places button in
the menu and then you click on your web folder. You'll then be prompted for
your username and password. Then you go thru the actual uploading.

and in case you missed it - using http uploading requires FrontPage Server
Extensions on your account. If your host didn't install those then you need
to use ftp.
