PW 07 User's pending approvals aren't showing up.

I have a user where on her home page it says that she has 57 task
updates from resources pending approval. when she clicks to go to
approvals, the page is empty, nothing at all.

When I go to it (I don't have any) it tells me that there aren't any
tasks waiting to be approved. For this user it is just plain empty.

Has anyone seen this before?

Is there anything I should be looking for?

I should also mention that I've given her admin access, just to see if
permissions are the issue (like taking a shotgun over a scalpel), and
it didn't change anything.

There is no error message on the user's computer and there doesn't
seem to be any error on the project box that coresponds to the action
of viewing the task updates.

How empty? is there still a bit of frame, some navigation menus? If
so, make sure that the user hasn't customized their page to remove the
web part: What looking at the blank page go to the upper right corner.
Under "Welcome User Name" and choose the option to Revert this page to
share definition, or something similar.

SharePoint allows users to customize their pages and add and remove
"Web parts."

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the reply. The web part is there...and it appears to be
the correct one: the Task Update Requests...it also isn't minimized.
It seems like it's just not populating the tasks, but it doesn't think
that there aren't any either.

Hi -

Couple of options to try:

1. If using IE7, close all the browsers and re-opend AFTER the project
is freshly published.
2. Have the user hit CTRL-F5. This does a hard refresh from the server
in case you have a cache type conflict.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

We've tried it from several different computers with the same result.
I'll have her try to re publish all of her projects to see if it's one
of the projects that is holding it up.

Hi,
Can you open the project and check if the user is actually the Status
Manager for the respective tasks ? You could check that by inserting column
"Status Manager" in any of the Task views. If not change the status manager
to that user and publish the project.

Thanks
Nach
