question about moving columns

I've just begun using MSP 2002 and I need to move a column and its contents
(within the same project). What's the best way to accomplish this?

Insert the column where you want it (right-click on the column header
to the right of where you want it, select Insert Column), and remove
the original instance of the column (right-click on the column header,
select Hide Column).

On top of Sarah's advice, in 2002/2003 you can select the header and move
the column with the mouse.
