Question about Notes in Outlook

B

Brian Tillman

How can I group different notes, in folders or with seperators?

You can make as many Notes folders as you want with File>New>Folder, making
sure the "Folder contains" drop-down says "Note Items". You can also assign
categories to notes (right-click a note and choose Categories. Check the
categories you want) and then change the Notes folder view to By Category.

The little dividers that Firefox uses for its bookmarks options would
be nice. Pass the word along to developers.

Anyway to use a separator? So I can see them all -- but grouped?

Ok, I' using folders in Notes as was suggested. But the folders don't
appear in the Notes field along with my notes/stickies. (Or the way
folders appear, say, in the documents folder.) I can see the new
folders in the My Notes area when I use the Navigator bar. But that's
how I normally work. So, what's going on with this?

Maybe no advice because we're not sure what you are talking about?

Outlook doesn't display subfolders in the "message list" side - they are
listed in the nav pane - either under my [folder] or in the folder list
(ctrl+6).

Got to be a better way. Tell the techies.

That's how it is in outlook - and when you have a lot of folders (like for
mail) it's much easier having them separate from the items.
