My employer heard of the product from someone and ask me to install it on our
win2003 server. They told me to install sql 2000 server, sharepoint services,
and microsoft project server 2003. I can't seem to create any projects. Do I
also have to install Microsoft project 2003 on a workstation to save and
publish projects to the Project server 2003 database?

Yes, you need to install Microsoft Project Professional 2003 on the
workstation of every user who will create and manage projects. Those
persons are generally your project managers and portfolio managers, and
sometimes resource managers as well. In addition, when you launch Microsoft
Project Professional, you will also need to create a login account with
which to log into Project Server by clicking Tools - Enterprise Options -
Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts.

To spare you much frustration in using this sophisticated enterprise tool, I
would strongly suggest you order both of our books on Project Server 2003 by
clicking the URL in my signature block. These are the only books on Project
Server 2003 available on the market to date. Hope this helps.
