question on writing new XLM code

I seem to have missed one key step in these discussions:

Supposing I have Excel 2008, or even Excel2004, and want to write a new
XLM macro. How do I create a MacroSheet (or convince Excel that I'm
writing and XLM macro and want to execute it)?

thanks
Carl

You can add a new XLM macro sheet (you can have many) to an Excel workbook
by pressing Apple-F11. Code your macro and define a name for it
(Insert-Name-Define). Then it will appear in the macros choice of the Tools
menu.

Excellent. Thanks for the info.
