I need to rewrite an Excel based Kitchen Quotation system into Access.
Currently the quotes system shows a list of kitchen cabinets with a price
per cabinet and an enterable quantity. This is then totalled with the final
price being shown on another sheet as a formal quotation.
I know that I could build a quote system that uses drop down boxes to select
cupboard sizes and types but I would prefer the Access version to replicate
the Excel spreadsheet in that the user would work off a vertical list of ALL
of the cabinets and just enter quantities.
Has anybody got any suggestions on how to do this or some example databases
that I can reverse engineer. The cabinet table needs to have quite a few
fields for assembly and shipping cost, component listings for hinges etc.
The actual number of records in the cabinet table would be less than 200.
Thanks
Mike
