Ranges

Hi Folks,
As someone who used Selection Object a lot I have a lot of problems with
old code in New versions of word (not least of which the speed at which
it runs).

I've used the Range object a couple of times and it seems much better.
Does anyone have pointers to a guide/walkthrough of using Ranges in
documents for almost all tasks?

Cheers

Cheers, JB,

Here's a link (you've no doubt already found)
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...html/decontheselectionobjectvsrangeobject.asp

Which has other links on it. The VB 6.0 online language reference has more,
and a great book for this is by Steven Roman. The first edition is named
Learning Word Programming; the second is slightly different and it is named
Writing Word Macros. Published by O'Reilly. The chapter on ranges and
selections is almost 40 pages long.

Good luck, it's my challenge and quest to get old code to behave, also!
