Re-activating a user

I am currently running MSP 2003. I have a user that was deactivated.
When he returned to the company I reactivated him. I use domain
groups to handle security. His domain account is active and is in the
proper group. However, every day I come into work it has reset him to
inactive status. I have to re-activate him on a daily basis. I must
be missing something. Any ideas?

If you are using Active Directory synchronization, this would explain the
activate/inactivate/re-activate issue you are facing. It sounds like the
user is not in the AD group with which you synchronize the Enterprise
Resource Pool and security Groups in Project Server 2003. You have two
choices, therefore:

1. Ask your AD administrator to add the user to the proper Active Directory
group.

2. Navigate to the Users page in PWA and open the User in question for
editing. On the Modify User page, select the "Clear AD User GUID" checkbox
and then click the Save Changes button.

Hope this helps.

Step 2 is the one I missed. Thank you Dale. I knew there was one
thing I must not have been doing.
