Re-install Office 2000 after upgrade from winME to winXP

I just purchased a Dell laptop with Office 2000 Professional installed. The
existing OS was ME. I purchased the XP upgrade which went fine and now I
have to re-install Office. I have the disks, but I continue to get installer
errors eg. wrong OS.

What is the right way to re-install Office specifically Outlook because all
of the other programs are working just fine.

Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I guess that I was too tired last night.

Anyone having this problem, pls go to Knowledge Base Article
#299699......works like a champ.
