re-installing upgrade version after crash

Jay

I can't install the 2003 upgrade after the crash even
though the old 2003 files are still on the hard drive. I
had to wipe out the old XP installation but was able to BU
the programs folder and restore it after. So the office
files (for the past 3 versions) are on the hard drive but
of course there is no referance to them in the new
registry. The upgrade installation routine refuses to run
because it doesn't find the right file.

Hi Jay,

You can insert the qualifying Older product version Office CD during
the installation of your newer Office upgrade edition.
