Read Email Look as Unread

I have a problem with the inbox. Any new email I get that are read remain as
unread in the Tree of the left pane.

If I move them to another folder, they are "considered" read in that folder.
If I move them back to the inbox, they show as unread in that left pane.

Any ideas?

Check your setting for how long you have to have that mail open or previewed
before it's considered read. (BTW - you might want to say which program you
are using for email and which version you are using.)

Outlook 2003 - I'll give what you suggest a try.
