real media files in ppt - VBA code to start?

Any advice about using real media (.rm) files in PPT shows? I was able to
insert the .rm file using Insert > Object > Create from file. Then if I
right-click the little object it creates and select Package Object > Activate
Contents, a real media window opens and plays the clip.

Is there a way with VBA programmng that I can make that clip start to play
just by users clicking a button or something? I don't want them having to
right-click and select Package Object > Activate contents - I just want them
to click a button saying "Play."

Activate contents in the animation setting should fire the package
automatically.

But to be honest, there are lots of free converters out there and you are
much further ahead to simply convert it from Real to something acceptable to
PPT.

Thank you so much. The only trouble I am haivng with the converters is that
it is making my file huge. I had a 7,000KB real media file that turned into
a AVI that was over a million KB. Do you know what compression method I
should use? I was using the converter on www.eo-video.com
