Reapplying slide type

If you have text on a slide and you want to reapply a
table format to that slide, it puts the table on top of
the text.

Any ideas

Was the text on the slide in a table to begin with? If so, reapplying
the table layout should work fine.

But if your text is in a textbox, applying the table layout isn't going
to convert that text to a table, sorry. It's just not designed to work
that way.

Can you identify what you're trying to accomplish:
1) You want the text to automatically fit into the table (Echo points
out it ain't gonna' happen)
2) You want to create a new table where there use to be text
a) Select text-box
b) Delete Text-box
c) Select Table-layout from list of options
3) Other? (or as my dairy-farmer-cousin "down home" used to
say.."Udder?"
