receiving e-mails

For some reason outlook express (version 6) will download
3 of my messages but won't download anymore, it just gets
stuck until a message pops up saying the server has
waited for 60 seconds and i have tryed waiting.

Its starting to get annoying as so far i have about 50
messages that i can't receive.

Any advice?
