Recently Used File List Problem

When I open my Word Options from the menu to check or change the
number of recently used Word files displayed, that option is grayed
out. This is the only normal item that appears grayed out.

I have done a Detect and Repair. I did a Google search and there was
mention of this problem with older versions of Tweak UI - Older
versions were never on this machine.

Windows XP Home and Office XP Standard

Gordon,

I think you misunderstood my post. The problem occurs in Word XP when
you have TweakUI running on an XP computer. You must check your
TweakUI settings.

I meant that the problem didn't occur with older versions of Word, not
Tweak UI.

Control Panel, Tweak UI under Internet Explorer tab. Check box for
show recently used files on Start Menu.
