recieved mail disappears

Recieve an email, reply, original email disappears
completely although the reply ends up in the sent mail.Did
not make any alterations in tools, etc. Just started doing
it on its own. Any solutions...I need a record of all
incoming emails.

Check your view (View, Current View) and make sure you're not set to Unread
messages.

Thanks, but that was not the problem. It is set
on "messages". As far as I can tell, the original message
totally disappears. Any other suggestions??? Thanks.
