Record Phone Calls

Greetings,
I would like the ability to record my phone calls on my computer. For
example when I am on a phone call with someone I want to be able to record it
in my computer. I figure that there's got to be a way because the phone line
runs through my computer (fax modem). Please let me know. Thank you.

Your computer is not designed to record phone calls.
You'll need to purchase a telephone recording device
and make sure to obey all laws in your locale pertaining
to the recording of telephone calls.

You can get a gadget at Radio Shack that will plug into your phone on one
end and your computer on the other. (Just go ask the resident geek at Radio
Shack -- they'll know what you need.) Then you'd have to have some sound
recording software (like Audacity or something) and hit the record button
when you start the call.

Somebody somewhere probably makes software that does this.

Legally, you may need to disclose to the person on the other end that you're
recording....
