Recording phone calls into word 2004

Does anyone know if there is a device (e.g., some sort of USB adapter) that
you can use to record a phone conversation into an audio note in Word 2004's
notebook layout? Thanks.

Hi,

I haven't tried this, but I would be willing to bet that if your telephone
has a headphone jack that you could find a cable that you could connect to
your Mac's microphone input.

Thanks. Yes, I just found such a device, from Radio Shack (Catalog #:
43-1237). It worked very well, but the maximum sound volume into my
computer wasn't great (about halfway up the level meter in Word's audio note
tool bar), even when I cranked up the computer's line-in input, volume
output, and the phone's volume. Has anyone else noticed this problem with
the microphone input on aluminum G4 Powerbooks, or have any suggestions for
boosting the volume? (sorry if this is veering away from the topic of MS
Word)

Hi Paul,

Most of the phones that have a headphone jack also have a volume control. I
bought a really cheap BellSouth one at Kmart and it does the trick.
