Recover personal folders and address book

Peter

I just installed Office 2002 on a computer which had suffered a mother board
failure. I would like to recover the personal folders data and the address
book from the previous installation. All of the original files are on the
original hard drive. I don't know what files to look for and where to put
them on the new installation.

search for *.pst, put it anywhere you want... point outlook to the folder
using tools, accounts, change mail accounts... browse for the pst and set it
as the default message store.

You'll probably need to right click on the contacts folder and set it as an
outlook address book...

Thanks Diane (and Roady).
I recovered the personal folders following your suggestions, however, I
don't know how to restore the address book so it will be used by Outlook.
Can you be more specific? Is it a *.wab file? Where should it go?
